What is a friction feeder machine used for?
A friction feeder machine separates a stack of flat products — cards, leaflets, brochures, envelopes, and sheets — and feeds them one at a time into a packaging line. It is the standard feeding device for inserting warranty cards and instruction leaflets into cartons or flow packs, counting cards or tags before bagging, and feeding one item per cycle to a flow wrapper, cartoner, or bagging machine.
What is the difference between a friction feeder, card feeder, leaflet feeder, and sheet feeder?
They are the same machine type, named by what they feed. Buyers searching "card feeder machine", "leaflet feeder", or "sheet feeder machine" all need a friction feeder — the right model depends on product size and thickness, not on the name. A friction feeder can also be called a paper feeder or page separator.
Is a friction feeder the same as a paging machine?
Functionally yes — both separate stacked flat items into single sheets. "Paging machine" is a common term translated from Chinese; in English, packaging-line buyers more often search "friction feeder", "card feeder", "leaflet feeder", or "sheet feeder". JEWSHIN's friction feeders perform this single-sheet separating and feeding function.
How fast does a friction feeder run?
Speed is adjustable from 10 to 160 m/min. In practice, the feeding pace is set by the host machine (flow wrapper, cartoner, or bagging machine) so items are fed one per cycle, rather than running at the feeder's maximum speed in isolation.
Which model do I need — JX-100, JX-200, or JX-300?
Choose by your product size (length × width) and thickness:
- • JX-100 for small inserts — warranty cards, leaflets, sachets, hang tags (40–120 × 30–100 mm, 0.1–3.0 mm)
- • JX-200 for medium cards — greeting cards, postcards, brochures, envelopes (50–200 × 30–150 mm, 0.1–3.0 mm)
- • JX-300 for large sheets — A4, magazines, notebooks, backing boards (50–300 × 110–300 mm, 0.2–3.0 mm)
Send us your product length × width × thickness and we will recommend the right model.
Can a friction feeder count as well as feed?
Yes. The feeder supports single-issue, set-count (a fixed number per batch), and continuous counting modes, so it can be used as a standalone counter or as an inline feeder that delivers a counted set to the next station.
Does it detect double feeds and missed feeds?
Yes. Sensor-based detection flags double feeds (two items fed at once) and missed feeds (no item fed). The JX-100 and JX-200 also include an empty-hopper alarm that stops the machine when the stack runs out. This reduces insertion errors and material waste on the line.
Will it integrate with my flow wrapper, cartoner, or bagging machine?
Yes. JEWSHIN friction feeders mount directly onto flow wrappers (HFFS), cartoning machines, bagging machines, inkjet / TIJ / CIJ coders, labeling systems, and conveyors. We provide wiring diagrams and mounting guidance for integration with your existing equipment.
What materials and products can it feed?
Paper cards, folded leaflets, greeting cards, postcards, brochures, envelopes, magazines, notebooks, file folders, cardboard backing boards, sachets, hang tags, coupons, and invoices — any regular flat product within the model's size and thickness range (0.1–3.0 mm).
What power supply does it require?
Standard configuration is 220V, 50/60Hz (rated power ~450W). Voltage can be customized to match your local grid (110V / 380V / 415V on request).
Is the machine CE certified?
JEWSHIN builds to CE requirements and holds ISO certification; per-model certification status can be confirmed for your target market. Contact us for the applicable certificates.
Do you provide installation, training, and spare parts?
Yes — online installation guidance, free engineer training until your team operates the machine confidently, a 1-year warranty, lifetime maintenance, 24/7 English remote support, and lifetime spare-parts supply. Overseas engineer service is available on request.
What is the lead time and price?
Lead time and price depend on the model and any integration options (inkjet coder, conveyor, labeling). Send us your product size, target output, and integration needs and we will prepare a factory quote.
